What are the benefits of a soft pellet diet?

Our soft, slow sinking pellets are easily taken by your fish. They compress within the buccal cavity and are easy to swallow.

Once the pellet reaches the gut, its malleable consistency ensures that it is easily digested by your fish.

Pellets that are larger are easily broken apart by smaller fish, ensuring that a wider range of sizes of fish can feed on a single size of pellet.

Vitalis Aquatic Nutrition pellets do not sit on the surface of the water. They sink slowly, allowing your fish to feed in a natural manner in the mid-water column. This ensures they do not take in air through feeding at the surface.

What ingredients go into Vitalis Aquatic Nutrition diets?

At World Feeds Ltd, we firmly believe in sourcing high quality, human-grade ingredients for the diets we produce.

These include;

  • Fish meal – produced from “whole fish”, not just trimmings or off-cuts. This ensures your carnivorous and omnivorous fish receive the correct nutritional profile they require for optimum growth.
  • Algae – we source different types of algae, all harvested sustainably, to ensure our feeds deliver a high quality, natural blend of nutritients, minerals and trace elements required by herbivorous and omnivorous fish.
  • Natural pigments – such as astaxanthin and canthaxanthin found in crustaceans which promote a healthy colouration in your fish.
  • Fish oils – we utilise a blend of fish oils which are food grade ingredients for maximum quality. These aid the production of our unique soft pellet and deliver your fish the energy and essential fatty acids they require for growth.

What is Inorganic matter?

Inorganic matter – also known as Crude Ash or Incinerated Residue – is a legal term that all pet food companies must declare on their label. It is not an added component, it is simply the amount of minerals present in the food, as determined by a set analytical technique.

The usual method for determining Inorganic Matter in a pet food is by the incineration of the sample. This leaves behind a residue and it is this residue of minerals that gives the Crude Ash content.

By their nature, fish and algae are both high in minerals which your fish require for growth and good health.

Why are Vitalis Aquatic Nutrition flakes all one colour?

At World Feeds Ltd we focus on the high quality of our ingredients. We do not add any artificial colours to our products. All the pigments we add to our diets are natural and are what your fish would consume in the wild. These are, by their very nature, not bright colours.
